Hi All,
When I tried Copy to CD from WMP I received
a message "No Recorder Device is found on your System". OS Win ME, installed a Plextor CD-RW type 16/10/40A connected it at the secondary IDE
as Master and a Pioneer DVD Drive as Slave at the
Primary IDE. Can anybody tell me what I've done wrong?...Thanks in advance.

possibly you did not install the cd burner part initially. From the WMP Help menu, use "Check for Player Upgrade", this should download the missing item.

Thanks for the reply Richard. Let me give you some
additional information: The mobo I use have sound
onboard (disabled). Installed a SoundBlaster 5.1 and a Creative PC DVD Dxr3 card instead. Could
this be the cause of the problems I have? Once again thanks in advance for your help.

J am not a hardware guru (that why J gave you the software suggestion before), but to me this configuration looks fine. Sure you not accidentially connected some of the CD-RW wiring to the Dxr3 card ? Did you install current driver software for the cd-rw ?

Thanks again my Friend. No I didn't connect any wire from the CD-RW to the Dxr3 card. Both the
DVD drive and the CD-RW are connected to the
sound card and perform well. This must be a minor
software problem I guess, the question is....what can it be? I hope I haven't bothered you too much with this. Thanks anyway.....
