I keep getting this message when trying to open an nvidia driver file (self extracting .exe). It has not happened (yet) on any other applications and I've tried using different versions of IE. I even tried a re-install of the browser. I've also tried re-downloading the file multiple times. Any ideas?

Sounds like a corrupted download or file, when it says it's not a valid Win32 app it means that it's not a valid executable and can not be run. This is usually caused by a bad download. Try retrieving the file again.

other interpretation: not a valid win32 app may mean (but is very unlikely to be) that it is an old type MSDOS app. Try to run it from the DOS prompt, or if you are on Win95/98, go into real dos mode.
