I have a simple question...
How do I create shortcuts to my applications in the task bar next to "start" button?

Simply drag the program icon over that area of the taskbar (quick launch) and let go.
If you want to delete any items, just right click on the item, and delete. Just as you would any other icon.

I'm having the same problem with Windows NT Server and Workstation. If I try to drag an icon to the task bar, I have a circle with a line through it.
Also, when I rt-clck on my taskbar I have no "toolbars" option.
Any ideas?

This applies to Windows NT Server and Workstation:
The toolbar you are looking for is actually a Microsoft ActiveX component called "Coolbars". Strange as it may seem, you need to install Microsoft Internet Explorer 4 to get this plugin. (Only version 4 installs the plugin.) After the install you will see the new toolbar next to the start button. You can then install version 5/6/whatever over version 4, but don't uninstall version 4 itself, otherwise you will lose the toolbar.
Good Luck!

Thanks for the info. Can I install IE4 even if I already have IE5 or greater installed?
No, you have to uninstall IE5, install 4 and then 5 or above again
