Fravorites transfer error

I did a clean install on Win 98. IE 5.5. I transfered my favorites folder ok but when I click the Favorites button, the Favorites Folder is closed. I have to click it open. Than anytime I add another site it goes below the Favoites Folder. Is there anyway I the Favorties Folder will stay open?

If you did a CLEAN install, you'll need to go back to Windows Update and get ALL the updates over again.

First open Windows Explorer and verify there is only one folder named Favorites under the Windows directory. If one is named favor1~ or something to that effect, check to see if your favorites are in this folder. Copy all the urls to one folder and name it Favorites and delete the other folders.

If the folder exists and still contains your favorite locations, use Registry Editor (Regedit.exe) and correct the Favorites entry under the following registry keys:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre nt Version\Explorer\Shell folders\
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre nt Version\Explorer\ User Shell folders\
HKEY_USERS\.default\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Cur rent Version\ Explorer\Shell folders\
HKEY_USERS\.default\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Cur rent Version\ Explorer\User Shell folders\
Change the Favorites entries to point to the Windows\Favorites folder.

I found all four locations. Favorites is in each one of them. Do I have to change all four? I do not know what you mean by "point" as in "Change the Favorites entries to point to the Windows\Favorites folder"?
