Hi, I've been using "internet turbo",(this improves MTUetc),for a long time on WIN98 with no problems.
Now I've upraded to WIN ME I,ve got problems;the "connect to" box does'nt appear when I click the internet explorer desktop icon--explorer behaves as if it's already on-line and tries to download my home page! Also the "never dial a connection" option,(in internet properties),keeps getting set (I frequently re-set it to "Allways dial default")
The instant I remove "internet turbo" the problem clears(I've uninstalled and re-installed many times)
This problem only occurs on WIN ME but never on WIN 98.
Many thanks
Alan

If you're using the software to improve your MaxMTU Setting, and its causing problems, I would do this. Install the software, and write down what it changes your MaxMTU setting to in the registry. Then, remove the software, and manually go back into the registry and reset the setting to what it was previously, with the software installed. That way, you got the benefit of the MaxMTU that you want, without the problems caused by the software.
