easy question.
what are the differences?
which should i use if i am using NT server or workstation? win95/98? i have had many arguments about this. i just want a clear understanding. thanks.

I read recently that, believe it or not, regedit32 is the older version of the program - for Window 3.x and NT 3.x. So REGEDIT is definitely what you want. Search at Support.Microsoft.com or MSDN.Microsoft.com for more info on this. That is where I read it.

you've reached the end of your quest.
keep it simple. for NT use regedit for searching the registry and regedt32 for affecting changes.
regedit is the only option for 95/98
