Win98 Password Security

Will changing the password settings to alphanumeric stop people from not entering a pasword and gaining access to my computer? Can I prevent new profiles from being added? Do I need to purchase a separate utility?

Unfortunely, windows don't provide a good level of security when in comes to access control on your windows operated system. Changing the password to alphanumeric symbols will increase it somewhat but will not be enough for determined people to break in. My opinion is to get your hands on third party software. Try http://www.winfiles.com and look for access control utilities.
