Recycle bin icon stuck on full.

Hope someone out there can help me.

Since changing my Recycle Bin icons (both full and empty) I am stuck with just the one icon even though they are both assigned correctly in Plus etc.

I can still empty my Recycle Bin and it is all working fine, it is just that the icon doesn't change from empty to full when I send something to it. I am constantly having to check it to see whether it is "full" or not as the "empty" icon seems to be the only one that appears, whether it is full or empty.

Have looked in Regedit and they (empty and full icons) are set correctly, ie, the right ones, and they also appear correctly in Plus, they just don't change when filled or emptied.

Have tried a few different icons thinking that the one(s) I was using may have been corrupted, but I still have the same problem. Even the default icons don't work like they're supposed to.

Hope someone out there can enlighten me, I'm sure there must be an answer to this.

Are you using Norton Protected Recycle Bin?

Take a look at this key and make sure they are different:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}\DefaultIcon

I am not using norton protected recycle bin.
I checked that registry folder and the default Icon was set to the one that was full. So I changed the default icon to the empty icon. This is what it looks like.

(Default) C:\WINDOWS\DESKTOP\Stuff\Icons\DI_Future\D_FUTURE. icl,3

Empty
C:\WINDOWS\DESKTOP\Stuff\Icons\DI_Future\D_FUTURE. icl,3

Full
C:\WINDOWS\DESKTOP\Stuff\Icons\DI_Future\D_FUTURE. icl,4

Now, the problem is that the icon wont change when I move things to the recycle bin.
