When I boot, a dialog box stating that Windows Registry Checker has foud errors and will fix them, pops up. I click OK, the computer reboots and the same box comes up again. It does this over and over. If I cntr-alt-del and end the registry checker program, the computer works fine.

You may wnat to check out your RAM. This is a common issue reported in this forum and the majority of times it is due to bad memory. If you have more than one DIMM you can swap them out to see if the error goes away.
