hi there.

i wanted to know how does one program application demo versions so that the software automatically gives the user a message that his 30-day trial period is up and he needs to register.

the easiest work-around solution to this to uninstall/re-install the demo copy. products like macromedia flash etc. can be reinstalled but when we run the program is run, it returns a message that we need to register or purchase now. i believe this is because some entry is made into the registry and so even a reinstallation does not allow the user to run the program after the 30-day trial period. i need to know how and where this entry is made. i am not looking for a crack or something, that i already have. i just want to know the above and run the demo version by re-installing the demo copy again.

We at this forum do not assist users in completing your type of request. Since you have the crack, it would be respectable of yourself to use it no longer.

Thanks,

Patrick

hi there guys.

just as i expected it......i'm not trying to find out how to use macromedia cracks. i already have one and do not intend to use it. what i am interested in is this:

one of my team guys is developing a software for which we need similar features. that is why we need to know where and when such an entry into the registry can be made so that users are not able to use our demo/trial versions longer than 30 days, just like they cannot use macromedia trial copies.

Each developer may have different code in their software. So entries could be made anywhere within the registry or a .dll or an .ocx file. If the developer is coding in Visual Basic he may find example code for registering software at vb-world.com there's many sites on the net for different programming languages as well.
