Greetings. I'm new to this forum and I hope that one of you gurus can lend some assistance. I have search through the archives and find nothing that resembles the trauma I'm currently having with regclean.

My regclean locks up at about 10% through "Scanning Library Type Identifiers For Errors". Actually, the computer doesn't lock up ... it just sits there without doing anything.

Here are some quick facts:
1) I run Windows95 on a Compaq Presario
2) I have heard that sometimes this software will sit and do nothing and I should wait a while ... I waited an hour and still nothing!
3) I thought I may have a corupt regclean software, so I downloaded a new regclean from ZDNet ... still the same problem.

Anyone?

I had the same problem but since I already wrote it all out on this other forum.
I hope it will help you too.

I acted on your fix and it worked like a charm! You rock!

There was one distinct CLSID in about a dozen different places. I had to delete them all.

Wow, what a difference! This had been a problem for nearly two years and I never bothered to try to fix it until now. Again, thanks!
