I recently installed a secondary (PCI) video card in my Windows 98 computer to complement my AGP card for Multiple Monitor support. Unfortunately, when I booted my system up, the PCI video card was detected as the primary display adapter, which set my AGP adapter to the secondary. I would like to be able to switch the primary display adapter to my AGP video card as it is a better card.
I know that it is easy to do in Windows 2000, but it isn't as easy in Win98. The only thing I have found in my research so far was on Microsoft's web site that stated, "if the monitor that you want to use as the primary monitor doesn't come up that way, unplug the two monitors and switch them." This isn't the answer, because it leaves my primary display adapter as the PCI card.
I appreciate any help, whether it be a Registry modification, a Device Manager setting, or whatever. Thank you for your time.
