When I right-click on the start button there is an entry "scan with norton antivirus" which I would like to remove. Can anyone tell me how?
Thanks Philip

hi Phill.
Use this tweak to remove these options.
Open your registry and find the key [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell]
Open this key [shell] and you will find [scan with norton antivirus] .then delete it.
Now when you right click on the start button, you should no longer be given the option to "scan with norton antivirus"

Hi,
When I open the registry and find the key [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell]
there is no item [scan with norton antivirus].
I also tried the search function in the registry to locate this item but it may be under another name.

Hi phill

Usually, all the modifications of right-click on start Menu stay inside the key that I have told you. search in this key:
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\shell]
