I'm having some trouble with my computer. After running for a little while I can't open anything except My Computer, Control Panel, and Recycle Bin. I either get an error message referring to "Generic Host Process for Win32 Services Error", windows explorer, or no error message at all (and maybe a Dll error once or twice). I've been googling the symptoms but so far I can't seem to find anything.

I have Spyware Doctor with anti virus and I suspected it to be a virus, but I've run a couple of scans and nothing significant has shown up and the problem is still there. Also, I've been getting alot of redirects while online. Particularly when I'm google searching. Sometimes new tabs in firefox will just open and start redirecting. I'm using Windows xp Media Center Edition and I'm not to great with computers so any help anyone can give would be hugely appreciated.

As long as you got SDA from PCTools or a boxed version, it is not malware.

You should try HiJack this. There is a tutorial in the Software Recommendations forum.

While in HJT, go to Misc Tools and check your Hosts file to make sure it has not been tampered with.
