I picked this up in a link that I shouldn't have opened and now can't get rid of it. Norton doesn't detect it, and neither does Spyware Doctor (even though I read that it would.) I have purchases $40 worth of software and still getting pop ups saying "Privacy Threat" "Install Antivirus", etc. It is also slowing my system down.

Can anyone tell me how to get rid of this?

Hi dbifulco,

We've released a couple of new signatures for XP antivirus 2010 in the past 24-48 hours. If you're still experiencing issues after a Smart Update and full scan, check your PMs for information on how we can proceed.

Cheers,

Matt

if my trial version of the doctor can detect vista antivirus 2010 and with reasonable success stop it from being annoying then does that mean if i buy the full version that i can completly get rid of it and if not would i be able to get a refund?

Yes SD has the ability to remove this threat. However, you should remember that new variants of this infection are created on a regular basis, so if SD cannot remove it, if you could provide us with a Malware detective log from within SD, we can assist you further. And there is a 30 day money back guarantee period.
