I have spent almost a week trying to get my Windows Live working. All items are staying in my out box.

Here is what I have tried so far: disabling spyware doctor, disabling the mail part of spyware doctor, uninstalling and reinstalling the windows live mail (including updates), checking my proxies, asking for support on windows live forums, calling qwest (per my windows forum response). I have sent emails from the msn website and items did go out, so I know it is something to do with Windows Live Mail/ Antivirus. Nothing has worked and the few sites I have found say the error I am receiving all points to my antivirus blocking outgoing mail.

Here is the error message I am receiving:
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800C0148 (this one once in a while) and other times it is just a blank error message box

I have exactly the same problem as this guy: http://msmvps.com/blogs/martinpoon/archive/2009/03/30/windows-live-mail-error-id-0x800c0148-protocol-smtp-port-0-secure-ssl-no-lt-error-prompts-in-windows-live-mail-after-installation-of-ie8.aspx

I have tried his fixes and they do not work.

Anyone have any idea at all how I can fix this??? Please help, I am very annoyed!

I am using Live Mail with SDA, no problems.

The most important thing is the account set up (tools, accounts, properties)

You must have the servers tab and the advanced tab settings set exactly per your ISP.

Since you are not being able to send, focus on the server tab - SMTP settings and outgoing mail server check box and on the advanced tab - outgoing mail server port number and the associated check box.

If any of these settings are not exactly per your ISP specs, you will not be able to send.

The connection tab should be set to always use your LAN.
