Ok, I have the same problem as posted by others. I have an XP SP3 with 2G RAM. The issues started this morning for the first time.

I have SD 7.0.0.508 with DV 6.13710. I have a scheduled scan at 3:30 this morning. It did not happen, my PC was asleep, was not able to execute. I rebooted and launched a full scan three different times. It froze each time at 10%, 12% and 17% of the file scan.

I rebooted in Safe Mode and ran a full scan. It ran successfully with no infections detected. I'm not sure what I have learned or where to go from here.

This morning is the first occurrence of the Sleep and Freeze issue. Any suggestions from others to help me troubleshoot this will be greatly appreciated.

My history file is attached.

Thanks!

After you tried a safemode scan did you try another scan in normal mode to see if it hangs again?

Yes, I completed a full scan in safe mode. Rebooted in normal mode. It would hang up at some point during the full scan each time and give me a BSOD.

Just today, I decided to go into McAfee and shut down script scanning and anti-virus protection. Then, I launched a full scan by SD and it ran to completion.

My McAfee did a full scheduled scan this morning (runs every Friday morning) without any problems.

Do you have SD or SDAV? and what version of McAfee is installed?
Could check c:\Windows\Minidumps\ and see whether you have any minidump files? If so, could you send us these so we can investigate this further.
