start menu

In the start menu there is a blue bar up the side.
Is there a way to change the text which is displayed in it? (It currently says Windows 98)

and download a zipfile "Taskbarhack".

Or if you don't mind having small icons for Programs, Favorites, Settings, etc., then you can right-click on an empty area of the taskbar and go to Properties. Then you can check the box next to the option "Small icons in Start Menu". The blue bar will disappear too.
