Is SD up to snuff on this one?

Wouldn't behavior guard detect this if it tries to run?

Possibly but that isn't good enough hence Symantecs new approach with NIS 2010. Every user machine sends info to Symantec and the community sees millions of good and bad stuff. To complicated to discuss here though and I don't have a good enough handle on it.

Of course. That's why I'm pissed NIS and SD don't work together.

Just a quick comment: Norton's Community Watch program is optional. Was also present in at least the 2009 version. On one hand it is a great idea; on the other it is an awful lot of big brother watching you.

I use the latest version of NIS2010 and latest version of SD No problems here both running together.

They do till both decide it's scan time and NIS is doing a pulse update. Power button the only way to kill it.

This is one of the main reasons I like firefox and the No-script extension to block all scripts and allow temp/perm the sites I want.
Whitelisting is not a great idea, temp is better, so next time you visit the site and there is an exploit on the webpage, it won't be whitelisted.
Anyway, noscript blocks this.
