Are there any options to 'Empty Temporary Folder at Startup' available? I thought the option might have been in Tweak, but I can't see it.

As an alternative...
Go to IE Tools/Internet Options/Advanced, Security and place a check next to Empty Temporary Internet Files folder when Browser is closed. Then click on OK.
When you restart it will already be empty.

Thanks, my Temporary Internet Folder is OK. It is my Temporary Folder that I hoped to be able to empty automatically.

There is a lot of reading to be done at the link added below. It is very good reading but be sure to use the batch file that you want. There are a few choices. I use the one to delete the TIF folder.

I personally use the MS Office Shortcut bar and have Saved searches from the My Computer's Find function to use to clean up the C:\Windows\Temp Folder and another for the TIF to clean the cookies.

Read most or all of Langa's information. It is good reading. I believe there is one that will do what you desire.

Thanks for that advice. As you say there is a lot of reading. I get the general idea, and if I don't find a program such as Tweak that will do the job, then I'll have a go at using one of the suggestions offered. Best Wishes

are you sure you are not looking for the Tweakui.cpl utility ?
That one has a tab "Paranoia" that lets you clear several lists one logout / login / startup / shutdown. But mainly Internet stuff.

The regular temporary files are not among those.

J suggest you copy the BAT mentioned in the previous post and trigger it from the HKLM/RunOnce registry key.

just want to add a word of warning to my previous post:

J suggested using RunOnce key to trigger cleaning. Take care, sometimes installation routines leave files in the temp files and expect them there for a 2nd installation phase after booting.
