I have NIS2010 + SD V7.0.0.508 and have encountered no problems with comflicts. (I am using XP).

Wait till scans kick off in either while doing initial pulse update after boot, it goes into a massive loop that only the power button can fix. SD also wouldn't reload dbase etc after shutdown manually to do XP update to SP3. It's close but needs more testing.

I'm currently installing Norton 2010 AV on a Windows 7 64 bit PC now. Will install SD v7.0.0.508 after to see if any problem arises.

Ok, I tried running a scan with SD, then updated Norton and now running a scan with both SD and Norton at the same time, then updated SD and all is working well without any problems. I've tested browsing on both IE and FF while all this is happening and notice that there is a slight delay when a scan is running on both products simultaneously, but don't experience any freezes/hangs. Will continue to test this for a few days and see whether anything happens.

XP SP3 IE7 at the time (IE8 now). New release of NIS 2010 just released via LiveUpdate but it was prior to that. NIS 2010 was an upgrade (installed over 2009 via Norton Community) so try that instead of a fresh 2010 install, it could make a big difference? i'm looking forward to an updated release and will try again. Cheers..s
