Hello, I am currently Running Windows ME and have to do a small project for my DOS course in tech school. I need to make the multiboot function work in ME. It is already enabled in the ms-dos.sys file, but it does not work(unless it is a different f-key for ME). I cannot Seem to find it anywhere else. I have searched for anything related in MANY different .ini files and the registry. I would like to know so I can teach my teacher how to do it because he does not beleive it is possible.
I am well versed in computers and have grown up around them, so I am familiar with "geek" words.
I have looked into alot of the posted questions but did not find it anywhere. if it is listed elsewhere than please point me there. Thank you for you time and effort.
thx

By multiboot you mean the windows start menu which enables you to get into DOS? Unfortunatley not possible with ME as DOS is not included. By holding ctrl from cold boot you can boot to safe mode. If this isn't what you're talking about just clarify it for me.

Hi
here is a solution for that , well it could be difficult for u .

1.Make a Boot able Floppy
2. Go into the Booting seq:
3. give the 1st boot to floppy and 2nd to HDD

Here if u need to boot the system on the Dos prompt then instert the floppy
otherwise don't

OR
Press F8 Key on the startup of windows
there will about 5 or 6 option select dos prompt only for dos
or Normal for windows
