Hi, can anybody tell me when the Kernal compatibility mode for the latest SD will be available when using windows 7? I really need this as when using NOD32 i need it to be able to run SD fully. Having used the same set up with vista and having it enabled i have no problems:)
Not be able to use SD with Windows 7 i might have to start looking at other spyware programs,
Thank in advance.....

I'm still on vista where kernel compat now is on the advanced settings tab. Is that tab turned off in Win 7? (Want to know before I buy a win 7 laptop; need the kernel compt. to speed up home network for some weird reason)
thanks

Hi, the advanced tab is there but with kernal compat greyed out, ive attached screenshot. Hopefully one of the mods will read this thread and be able to tell us whether this will be sorted out, maybe in the next release? as this seems to be an important feature for some. Fortunately i have a dual-boot on my lappy with vista being my main OS. I wont be making the full change to Windows 7 until i know all my programs etc work.

Hi Guys,
The kernel compat mode is currently not available on Windows 7 32 bit. The devs are currently working on this. All other OS's have this option.

Thanks Anthony for the info.
How does one find out if a feature has been put back in without actually installing sdav and trying.
My vista machines so far are happy with sdav and am stalling on buying a win 7 netbook. Will use sdav on the netbook but also don't want to get the netbook until I'm sure kernel compatibility is ready as having it on the vista machines has really been needed
thanks again

I will have to provide an udpate once it's back.
Also, you might want to consider PCT Security for Netbooks (http://www.pctools.com/forum/showthread.php?t=57751).

thanks for info.
on ad page for pctools for netbooks it doesn't say it works with win 7 as sdav does.
Will pct for netbooks work with win7/ Also since I have one more machine to go on my 3 machine contract is there any reason why I couldn't try sd+av on a netbook?
(Of course, wife my get bored with her anti-malware and let me install doc on her machine and that would use my third machine. She liked doc in the past and when new machine came with other stuff decided to let it run until it misbehaved and so far it hasn't)

Sorry, PCT Security for Netbooks is not yet Windows 7 compatible :o We are currently working on this and the new version will be available in the not to distant future. And you can install SDA on the Netbook as there are no limitations to this.

Hi
Now two months since this thread was started.
Does PC Tools has a release date for a version with Kernal Compatibility mode windows 7 32bit!!
I have had to disable SD since Windows 7 install as I have shutdown problems with it running and is due to no compatibility mode being available.
