Intellimouse and disableing buttons for Half-Life

If you don't know, the Intellemouse has 4 buttons and a wheel, the left right buttons, and then 2 thumb buttons. My thumb buttons in Windows close and double click. Does anyone know *** to disable the features for games? Half-Life in peticular.

therre are now so many variants of the IntelliMice on earth, this 4button type is new for me.
But: as much J know, your mouse must have come with special driver / setup software, and J believe you should be able to re-allocate functionality from the mouse control panel applet. If you have to often switch between games and other work, keep the mouse icon in the systray for fast access.
