Dialing sound

I'm using Windows NT.
When my modem is dialing, I can't hear the dialing sound. Instead of manually enable the sound, how can I enable the sound using regedit?

You can simply add an extra setting into your modem to turn it on and hear it trying to connect. Head into the Control Panel and double click on Modems. Somewhere in here is an area for Extra Settings, Extra Commands, Initialization Strings, something to that effect. You wanna add M1L2 in there. May or may not need to reboot after that, but give it a shot.
