I uninstalled loads of programs H/D to free up space.Using Norton uninstall.

I turned off the CREATE BACKUP box.

Dow !!

The next time I booted up .my computer would not start.
After hours of startups in safe mode ,and trial and error ,I can finally get my computer working ,but only withselective startup .

When I do a normal startup ,seconds before I should have normal access to my computer an IE alert box opens and it says

" Rundll error occured " "ok / Cancel"

and I have no mouse control ,so I cannot access anything.even thought all the Windows Items are there.

The best startup i can get is using the confirmation procedure
and leaving out Autoexec.bat and confug.sys

This gives me Internet access and mouse control.

any suggestions?

(I have noticed some wonderful improvments, windows takes about 1 minute to load now.Outlook Express speed is better also even though I have lost decent graphics and I can still access the Internet.)

However ...it needs sorting

if you can get Safe Mode running and Regedit will start, then check for RUN entries in the registry, more info at:
