can I use a registry key to launch an app on my 95 box whilst the domain logon screen is showing. I have the machine set to boot early am and want a batch file to scan another computer for viruses on the network. I just cannot get it to start up without logging on.

add a RUNONCE entry under HKLM to the registry, more at:

unclear from your question: does the Win9x machine need to log in to the server for this virus scan ?
