View Full Version : Minimise Browser Defender Tool Bar

Just wondering how do I minimized the Browser Defender Tool Bar so it only shows up on the top left part of the screen? (not the whole screen)

In the add-ons, it states v1.0.56
In the add/remove, it states v2.0.6.10

Which version is it? It this the latest? Is there a newer version out there?

I'm using FireFox 3.5.3

I do not understand.

Perhaps because I have SDA and you have SD.

For me with SDA, BD runs in the background and for SD perhaps it runs up front?

I installed browser defender separately (as a standalone version)

OK.. if you have SDA and want to clean it up.

Uninstall Browser Defender using add/remove programs.

Uninstall SpywareDoctor using add/remove programs.

make sure that \program files\spyware doctor does not exist

re-boot

Download Spyware Doctor with Anti-virus and install.

That should take care of it.

This was discussed in another thread, but to get the toolbar to display in button mode, do the following:

1. enter about:config in the urlbar
2. click through any warnings
3. search for bdtoolbar
4. find the value "forcenetbook"
5. set this value to true
6. restart the browser

I've also found that sometimes the button doesn't appear. If that happens, click on "View -> Tools -> Customize" and then click the "Restore default set" button.

Finally, it appears that v2.0.6.10 is the IE toolbar version and v1.0.56 is the firefox toolbar version.
