Dell Resource CD prompt when opening program???

Every time I open desktop maestro my pc prompts for me to insert a dell resource cd. I have to keep hitting cancel for the program to open up. Once the program is open, it works great! It also does this when I have maestro to auto start after I restart my pc. Not a great big deal, but kind of a hassle every time I want to use maestro. Any ideas?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Hi Pliskken,

Your problem is a known Windows Installer issue that occurs intermittently with many programs, not just DM. In most cases, it is resolved by actually re-installing the program that the Windows Installer asks for, during the install process, the registry will be updated with new data that will stop the Windows Installer opening in future.

If this does not work, try uninstalling DM, re-start your system, and then re-install DM. Perform a final re-start and see if this fixes your problem.

Thanks Anthony. I downloaded the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility, and found my problem. DM works great when opening up now.
