I recently purchased the spyware with anti-virus since my computer has had come definite problems that free antivirus software simply wasn't helping. I was able to get rid of all my spyware, the intelliscan was fast and easy so I was pleased...

I had a full system scan set up to start today at 6:30AM... it is now nearly 3:30 PM and the scan is only 60% completed. Is it normal for it to take this long? From what I can see the scan is running fine but I don't remember a full system scan ever taking 9+ hours.

I saw a post before about someone's virus scanner seeming to get stuck, and I'm not sure if that's the issue here or not. I just got onto the computer so I wasn't able to see if it got caught somewhere or not.

(I'll also note that during the course of typing this message it's started to behave a bit faster. From 3-3:30 it barely budged from 55% complete and now we're at 65%...)

It depends on how much crap there is. Temp files etc.
Download CCleaner and run this first to clear out the junk and your Virus,Spyware scan will be much quicker.

Hi Abrandt87,

A 9+ hour scan is very long. We need to know if the scan is getting stuck on a particular file? Do you have many archive files such as (.zip, .chm, .jar, etc)?

Could you try running a full scan in safemode and see how long the scan takes?
