spyware doctor 6.1.0.447 32bit

I did a new installation of windows xp sp3 and updated all critical patches.

I loaded spyware doctor with antivirus and rebooted.

After reboot and login, spyware doctor loaded in the system tray, and antivirus started and it said system status:normal, my computer locked up.

Thought it had something to do with windows firewall so I turned it off. No effect at all.

This happens each and everytime I boot and login. Can not use the computer at all. I uninstalled and computer works fine.

Do you have any other firewall or anti-malware installed and running?

Did you ever have Norton or McAfee installed?

No, nothing. New installation and only windows firewall with it on or off lockup problem.

Hmmm. That is odd, especially with a clean install of Windows XP and SP3.

What I would suggest is:

1. Uninstall SD w AV

2. delete the \program files\spyware doctor folder

3. download and install CCleaner from filehippo.com

4. run CCleaner cleaner

5. run CCleaner registry

6. download and re-install SD w AV from pctools.com

see if that works.

imo its a good program but it doesnt like playing well with other programs, the makers should fix that but i doubt they will
