Why am I now being asked if I want to run a scan every time I switch the computer on?

It never used to happen.

Is there a way of disabling it? I haven't found an obvious one.

This is a known issue for 64 bit OS's. This Intelli-Scan bug has been resolved in the beta version of SD.

Thanks, that would explain it then as it applies to my new machine which has Vista 64 bit whereas my other machines run on XP.

Something else to blame on Vista I guess :)!
