I have just been automatically charged for the second time in 2 years for a product I no longer use.
I never asked for the product to be renewed automatically in the first place. And I cannot find anywhere in MyAccount to cancel it.
The first time it happened I contacted PC Tools and got the following email from Laura O'Shea, Customer Support Representative:
> Regarding your query about a refund for your Desktop Maestro
> subscription on order number XXXXXXXX, your refund request has now
> been submitted. Please allow up to 10 business days for your refund
> to be processed.
>
> If your refund was made on the same day as the purchase, the credit
> value will be held until the end of the billing cycle, however you
> will not be asked to pay for the purchase, as such no refund will
> appear.
>
> Please note that it takes longer to receive a credit than it is to
> receive a debit. This is due to limitations of credit card
> processing companies and banks. It is not our intention to prolong
> the refund period.

> Any further automatic payments have now been cancelled.

My father died while this was going on and I never got around to checking if the I received the refund. I was too busy organising his funeral and didn't give it a second thought until, a year to the day later, PC Tools charged my credit card again!
Automatic payments had not been cancelled as promised. And on checking through my credit card statements I discovered that the amount taken out of my account last year hadn't been refunded either!
Has anyone else had this problem? And how do I make it stop?
