sdasetup.exe error

When I click on run for "sdasetup.exe" it then asked me for "Open with" and provides me with a list of programs and it defaults to Adobe. Why is this asking me to "open with", it should go to the next step and do the Spyware Doctor Setup window but it never gets that far, thanks.

Hi Tspazok,

It may be possible that your PC is infected. Could you try the following:

1. Boot up you're computer into safe mode with networking
How to boot up in safe mode with networking?
- Restart your computer
- Keep Pressing F8 when your pc boots up
- Then select Safe Mode With networking
2. Try to download a new setup file from our webiste (http://www.pctools.com/spyware-doctor-antivirus/download/)
3. Try to install it in safemode and see how it goes.

OK that worked but I still get at startup a Common File that pops up with a file called Helper.Sig. I'm running a FULL SCAN now to see if this gets picked up. Do you know if this is a virus and if so will Spy Doctor correct it, thanks.

It's difficult to say whether your pc is infected or not. Follow the instructions in this thread (http://www.pctools.com/forum/showthread.php?t=55923) and I will be able to check this out further.
