password protected SWD shuts down

While surfing CNN.com around 6 PM today, a SWD window pops up asking for password verification to shut down the program. I click on "cancel", and the SWD window immediately opens showing intelliguard and anti-virus are disabled, and are now re-starting. It took about 30-45 seconds for everything to re-start. Is this normal behavior, shutting your protection off before the password is verified?

After some testing, the closest thing to the message you received is a message to restart product after an update. If you click yes then SD will restart showing Intelli-Guard and everything else as inactive until the service restarts again.

If this occurs again, could you get a screenshot and attach it to this thread?
