Hi Guys, I have tried everything to get firefox to install addons, but it will not and it is quite frustrating. I have tried a complete uninstall and reinstall (more than once), deleting the extension cache, ini, and rtf files, even deleting my whole profile restarting, uninstalling, deleting all left over files, restarting, and then re-installing. It is driving me nuts, are there any suggestions or help you guys could give me.

Check this site>
http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Unable+to+install+add-ons
If none of those work, you might want to try disabling your antimalware protection and the try it.

Thanks haapy, but I have tried all of that as well, thanks for trying to help. Also, I have posted something in the Mozilla Forums and maybe that will yield results. Thanks again and talk to you soon!

Hey sciencewis1,
on the Customizing Firefox with add-ons (http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Customizing+Firefox+with+add-ons#Fashion_Your_Firefox) page, there are 2 detailed steps (and 1 implicit one) under "Acquiring add-ons" (copy&paste for a certainty):
1. At the top of the Firefox windowOn the menu bar, click the Tools menu and select Add-ons, to open the Add-ons window.
2. In the Add-ons window, the list of recommended add-ons is displayed.
* If the Get Add-ons panel is not already selected, select it.
as well as 5 detailed steps under "Finding and installing add-ons".
Which of those steps fail?
And, what happens, exactly? Any error message, dialog, report, ... All may be important.
Also, try to launch firefox with "Run as administrator" option of right-click menu for attempts of installing add-ons.

Hi josefz, thank you for the reply, I found out that SDwA 6.5 Beta was causing read/write errors on my computer so Firefox would not write to the Add-on file. However, I installed the new beta v7 and it works now. Thanks again, I really appreciate it.
