When I start up SD my HD doesnt stop flashing + my pc runs VERY slow.

As soon as I start SD, the hard drive reads like crazy and the computer runs so slow its unbelievable. I can do a scan because it will take 10 years. Im pretty sure its got a virus but how do I get rid of it if the scan will take forever? It takes 10 min just to do the browser scan... I ran CCleaner and it didnt fix anything either.

Also, when I shut down SD, the computer runs like normal. I have Windows XP sp3.

It sounds like you have some infections.
