I may have discovered a discrepancy in Spyware Doctor. Following is the error message from Comodo which was allowed , 7/7/09. (I hope that this works right) [pctool 1] C:\WINDOWS\Temp\_ir_vp2_temp_0\vpatch.exe

The system search says that the file folder in Spydoc is named [there is no other vpatch.exe on the system] - C:\WINDOWS\Temp\_ir_vp2_temp_1\vpatch.exe
[vtemp]

Note that the file names differ, one showing temp_0 and the other showing temp_1. Also see that the last write time was last month, 6/2/09. A new folder was not created today and vpatch was not found (the 2nd error message) since the names were different.

Basically, I wonder if there was a a typo and the system tried to create a folded using a nonexistant path of course I may be all wet. I am sorry for the attachments/images since I am new to the system. Could someone tell me how to insert images into the post?

Thanks,
medicinman

Hi Medicinman,

This appears to be ok. The location may have been read incorrectly by Comodo and you can allow this as this is SD's database merge process. We will improve this process so it does not require an executable such as vpatch.

Will that be before or after PCT tells us just what "ignored infections" actually are?

Dear Anthony, If Comodo misread, it does it every update time, which requires manual intervention. Probably removing vpatch.exe will take care of it. Since this issue was referred to the Development Team, what should I do with this post? Thanks, medicinman
