Applications Start in Safe Mode

Hi everyone! For some reason, whenever I start my PC (Vista Ultimate SP1), my applications start in safe mode all the time. I have run registry scans with numerous products and virus scans with SD to see if the issue is registry or virus related and nothing was found. I am not sure what is occurring, but does anyone have any ideas? Thanks again!

You probably need to:
- go to msconfig and uncheck the "safeboot" option
- then check the "make boot settings permanent" option.

Thank you olanb for the suggestion however I checked msconfig and the safe boot option was not checked already. It appears to be a deeper issue than I thought. Is it possible that some uncessary registry entries could be causing this issue? Thanks again!

You might want to try Service Pack 2 and see if that helps.

Thanks haapy, I was planning to upgrade to sp2 later this year, but I took your suggestion and that fixed the issue. Thanks again!
