I am trying out iAntivirus 1.35 on my MacBook Pro laptop (OSX 10.5.7), prior to possibly upgrading to the security suite. The log indicates the following: "Unable to activate OnGuard!" Although I click on "Protect My Mac" in the drop-down menu, the feature remains "OFF".
I used PC Tools in the old DOS days, and appreciated the excellent support. I am sure that this problem will have a simple fix, probably something to do with privilege levels. Nevertheless, my user login is the Administrator, and the installation package did ask me for the administrative password before proceeding.
I am executing a general scan, right now, and it appears to be running fine.

Hi Thellner,
Could you try uninstalling iAV-> Reboot-> Download and reinstall iAV from www.iantivirus.com-> Reboot and see if you are still having problems activating OnGuard. If you are still having problems, could you please send us profile.zip (for instructions, check out http://www.pctools.com/forum/showthread.php?t=56352. If you need to send this, let me know and I'll provide my email address to you.

I have the same problem. The account I used when I installed iAV still is protected, but not the other 3 accounts. Is this the cause of the problem - several accounts? This is also described here: http://www.pctools.com/forum/showthread.php?t=56228.
I just re-installed a fresh copy of iAV, so the option is to get the profile-zip sorted and sent for your evaluation, right?
Please send me the address too!
Rgds,
Johan

Hi Johan,
The current version of iAntiVirus does not support multi user accounts. I will have to find out if this will be implemented any time soon.
