I am wondering if anyone out there might know of a registry hack for Win2k Pro that allows you to modify the default memory allocated to Total Kernel Memory under Windows 2000 Pro. I have 256 MB ram in my machine, over 100 MB free at any one time, but Kernel memory availability is stuck at around 40MB on offer, and 90% of it used. I'd like to give a little more buffer there since I have some unused RAM up the sleeve.

Anyone?

how do you come to the conclusion that this may help your system ?
while J have not studied this specific value, my general comment is that if the kernel does not need more than the mentioned 40MB and this is 90% of reserved area then this would be optimal and any additional (never used) memory would be a waste.
