Desktop Maestro being blocked by Vista UAC (User Account Control)

Does anyone know of any way to elevate DM or bypass UAC for a single program so that DM can carry out schedule scans and PC start-up scans?

Please note that I don't wish to disable UAC I just wish to exclude DM form needing to be executed with permission from Administrator Rights control or User Account Control.

This is only a problem and annoyance for Vista users as on my XP based Laptop DM works beautifully as adveritised.

Hi
If you right-click on the Desktop Maestro executable file and select properties. Under one of the tabs there is an option to run it as an administrator. Input your administrator details and I think that should work.
Hope that helps

Sadly this only works the one time, and you need to do this every time to get DM to run in any normal way on the Vista platform with UAC running.
Turing UAC off however solves the problem but that's not really a very smart option. guess i will just have to wait until DM gets a proper signature from Microsoft to run as a trusted normal App like Internet Security has so it runs well on Vista.

Just missing all those nice automated feature it has. That is after all the best thing about DM, without them you might as well take the time and use MS Task Scheduler to run its own maintenance.

But until then if anyone Successfully gets this to work without turning off UAC let us know, so we can get the full value for our money from DM on Vista.
