Is there going to be a reply or some sort of fix????
Until then I have disabled IAntivirus and if I do not hear from someone soon I will uninstall it.http://www.pctools.com/forum/images/smilies/mad.gif

I have the same thing going on at random times.

I've been clicking on "Protect my Mac" in the drop down menu from the title bar icon, waiting for the processor to idle down, and then turning it back on.

Not a very glamorous way of dealing with the situation, but it works.

I have just turned mine off. Period. I know this is a beta edition and free (for which I am grateful) but this problem has been going on for a long while now and the developers are not very responsive. It's a shame.:(

Could you please send us your mac profile to us and we will be able to take a futher look into it.

1. Open terminal (found in Applications -> Utilities)
2. Type the following:

system_profiler -detailLevel full -xml > /tmp/profile.spx [hit enter]
ps ax > /tmp/ps.txt [hit enter]
zip -9j ~/Desktop/profile.zip /tmp/profile.spx /tmp/ps.txt [hit enter]

3. Send profile.zip to us.

NOTE: This gives us the same information as available in System Profiler (Applications -> Utilities) - please have a look at what kind of information System Profiler displays about your machine, and only send us the profile.zip file if you are comfortable with giving that level of detail to us.

How can I send it privately to you. I do not want anyone else to have access to my profile.

Thank you

Yeah, I also have this problem. I'm beginning to think everyone does.
I took it off my login items list, and now only use it to scan a file I'm suspicious of. I don't trust leaving it on, because it'll start running the cpu at 100% when I'm not there, and I don't like my MacBook getting up to 160º (CPU temp) that often or for that long.

Try 190! I finally tracked it down to iantivirus by trial and error shutting things down one at a time, for some reason I couldnt see it hogging huge amounts of CPU using Activity Monitor but it was the culprit. I see the release announcement of 1.36 "possibly resolved the cpu issues" but I wonder if it did & if the issues were what were talking about here or something else?
