View Full Version : Help, I'm a registry novice!
Thanks in advance for any help. I altered a sub-key in Win95 registry to disable a program that I upgraded. It worked like a charm before the upgrade, but after I altered it, windows won't fully boot. IS THERE ANY WAY TO EDIT THE REGISTRY FROM DOS??

depending how far Windows has booted up, you could boot to Safe Mode wich should use the previous registry copy ("Last known good"). Then restart to normal, which should drop the manipulated registry copy.
Have a backup of your registry before making changes, have a recent copy of your ERD (Emergengy Recovery Disk) at hand.
