browser defender causes IE 8 to not respond

I have tried to install browser defender with IE 8 on my computer. When I open IE the browser crashes and tells me that IE is not responding. Please help

Thanks for the reply. I sent a copy image of my computer to pctools already and they gave me a ticket #[#7698-2043-46] PC Tools Technical Support. Hopefully this will help get an update so I can use Browser Defender again on my computer. Thanks for the help.
