Hi everyone,

My Spyware Doctor has been acting up since yesterday...Everytime the Windows IE browser is launched, the Spyware Doctor is automatically launched as well. I have tried using BitDefender, Hijack This and even Spyware Doctor to scan for any spyware/adwares but nothing turns up (except low risk cookies which are not the cause of the problem). Even though it does nothing if I simply minimise it to my Toolbar, it slows down a lot of my programmes and online surfing.

Does anyone know what is the problem? Any help will be much appreciated. Thank you in advance!

Cheers,
Agnes

Hi Asiandivergal,

To reverse the process of Spyware Doctor starting when opening Internet Explorer, you will need to delete the file 'common.ini' which can be found in C:\Program Files\Spyware Doctor.

1. Please first exit from Spyware Doctor. To exit from Spyware Doctor
please right click on the Spyware Doctor icon in the notification area
(next to the clock on the Windows taskbar) and select Exit from the menu
that appears.

2. Navigate to C:\Program Files\Spyware Doctor and delete
'common.ini'.

3. Launch Internet Explorer

4. Spyware Doctor will then ask you if you want Pop-up Blocker to start with IE, tick 'Remember my settings' and click on No.

5. Please then relaunch Spyware Doctor.
