how to hide the tray bar icon

does anyone know how to hide the tray bar icon, such as task, volume ...
but I should run task and enable volume

for Volume:
go menu Start>Settings>ControlPanel>Sounds and Mutimedia: then uncheck the checkbox that places thr icon into the traybar.

Other applications let you also choose if you want to have an icon in the traybar, check the individual Options menu.

And for all other cases, there exist shareware solutions to hide the stuff. This has been discussed sometime back in January or February, please Search the Discussion Forum with keywords TRAYBAR or TRAYICON or just plain TRAY. Good luck.
