As expected, closing the PCTAV UI by clicking the "X" in the top right-hand corner also removes the corresponding tab from the Taskbar.

However, right-clicking on the Taskbar tab and clicking "X Close" will close the UI and remove the Taskbar tab (expected) and also kill the PCTAV.exe client and PCTAV System Tray icon.

Of course the service keeps running but without alerts and updates.
Is this by design or a glitch?

Hi Pete,

For the first one, clicking on the 'X' should minimize PCTAV to the system tray. This should still be active and running in the background.

I'm not sure what you mean by the 2nd part. Do you mean right clicking on the PCTAV icon in the system tray and selecting Exit? This will kill PCTAV by selecting this option.

No, I mean exactly what I wrote. :D
Hope the picture tells the story better.

I see what you mean now :) The devs will fix this in the next version.

This is indeed fixed in 6.1.0.25 :)
