Hi.

Will check into this. I assume the errors were from the Windows Update.

In the mean time, consider performing a periodoc image backup. This way, if you have to restore, you will restore from a recent date: windows, data, all included.

This has saved me many a time. Here is the one that I use:

Macrium Reflect Free
Website:
http://www.macrium.com
Download link:
http://www.macrium.com/reflectfree.asp
Author: Macrium Software
Current version: 4.2.2033
File Size: 26MB
License: Limited functionality freeware
Operating Systems Supported: Windows XP and Vista
64 bit capable: Yes
Any special system requirements: An external USB disk is required - alternatively a DVD burner drive
Portable version available: This product is self booting
Additional software required : BartPE - a custom BartPE boot disk must be created, with additional Macrium files

Please verify the error codes. I could not locate info on the ones provided. The closest I could find was 652 related to communications. The Dell website indicated a critical updates for some components. Check it out here:

Are you runing Service Pack 1?

Also, should it come to that, have you ever tried the repair function rather than re-install?
