I am using the Spyware Doctor 6 paid version. It drives me nuts when I do a full scan the results say 1 infection ignored. I have not items in the global action list. All cookies deleted and temporary internet files with CCCleaner. Is anyone else having the same problem? If so what is being done to find out what that infection is that is ignored?

HI
This "infections" are not really infections and aren't critical
Please see

Hope this helps

I mentioned this a few days ago and got no response except the reference to it might be a cookie.
I wrote to tech support and they said rescan after rebooting. Didn't do a thing. They then asked for a copy of history that I sent but I wonder what good that does because all history seems to show is that since installing 440 I get the one ignored infection.
Driving me nuts. Achen has said the next major build will allow us to identify the ignored infection but all that does is continue the frustration.
PCT is usually very responsive but this frustrates. I'm periodically doing one click scans of different places just to see if I can isolate the file and so far no success.
Anyway, have the same problem and it started right after I put up 440 and wasn't happening with 386
Vecchio literally posted as I was writing. Vecchio, thanks for the reassurance.

A band aid.
If you are using CCleaner, click options, advanced, uncheck all boxes, run the cleaner again. See if that helps.

Got back message from tech support useless.
They initially sent out the boiler plate that it is probably just a cookie.
They then asked for me to send history. In my note i explained it started on March 16th.
The reply "oh so it only occurred on march 16th). I enclosed the full history that showed it occurred each time i did a full scan.
Frustrating.
haven't yet tried ccleaner (have manually cleaned cookies from ie7 and from firefox since
I think I'll just let it stay as vecchio advises.

Ccleaner is a free, very safe, very efficient program. Check it out, you just might like it.

Technically speaking, unless you're a PCT developer you don't know that.
You may be right -- I hope you're right -- but:
1) If you are right, why would PCT call it an "infection?" That would make _them_ wrong.
2) If you are wrong (and it _is_ critical), why wouldn't PCT tell us what (and where) they are?
This is just lunacy. It's Alice in Wonderland talking with the White Rabbit. PCT words that mean nonsense.

It doesn't. For me, anyway. On multiple computers.
All versions of ccleaner to date. All versions of SDwAV to date.
It's a constant, not a variable.

I agree. Before you log out of an acct or shutdown, run ccleaner. If you have a couple of extra minutes, run ccleaner followed by a SD Intelli-scan (quick scan) before you shutdown. It's an additional layer of protection.
You'll probably get the "nn infections ignored" warning, but if we're lucky it may not mean anything. :)
